"The name is Fitzroy, but you can call me Fitz!"
Growing up in Jamaica, Fitzroy (Spicy Roy) was captivated by the craft of authentic Jamaican cooking. He learned traditional techniques of fermentation and use of a Jamaican steel drum to make mouthwatering jerk chicken with Red Stripe flair!
After immigrating to the United States at 30, Fitz followed his passion for cooking and worked in various kitchens all over the Bay Area.
Equipped with his love for authentic Caribbean cuisine, his knowledge of Jamaican grilling techniques, and over 20 years of commercial cooking experience under his belt, he decided it was time to bring those authentic Jamaican flavors he knows so well to the masses.
Fitz brings his passion and expertise of cooking into the kitchen each day at Spicy Roy's.
